1) Absorbent is cost effective.
2) Arsenic removal capacity is higher
compared to expensive activated alumina,
iron oxide coated sand, iron base
commercial adsorbent, etc.
3) Adsorbed both As(III) and As(V) species
and less sensitive to pH compared to
alumina media.
4) No interference from sulphate, chloride,
magnesium and iron ions are observed.
5) Works over wide range of pH 5.5 to 8.0.
6) Non-hazardous waste meets TCLP (toxicity
characteristics leaching protocol)
