  2. 2. Model 100 Simple Articulator Features: • • • • An easy to use magnetic mounting system with indexed mounting plates and reusable metal mounting disks. The articulator has average settings that allow for smooth protrusive and lateral movements. Includes Mounting Platform Base, Curved and Flat Mounting Platforms and an Anterior Centering Pin. The lightweight aluminum frame incorporates a retractable anterior leg and a posterior stop for optimum tabletop viewing. www.indiandentalacademy.com
  3. 3. Make sure the mounting plate is securely attached to the upper frame. Attach a mounting disk to the upper mounting plate, making sure the beveled edge of the mounting disk faces toward the magnet. www.indiandentalacademy.com
  4. 4. Attach the mounting platform base to the lower mounting plate magnet. Use the grooves on the front and right side of the platform to properly align the base. www.indiandentalacademy.com
  5. 5. The engraved lines on the mounting platforms and anterior centering pin makes positioning of the cast or cast and occlusion rim quick and easy. The flat mounting platform is used to mount an edentulous cast www.indiandentalacademy.com and occlusion rim.

  9. 9. Align the upper cast in the center of the mounting platform by centering the cast evenly between the engraved lines. Make sure there is sufficient space between the top of the upper cast and www.indiandentalacademy.com upper frame to apply mounting stone.
  10. 10. Apply mounting stone to the top of the upper cast and an even layer of stone over the plastic plate to provide a smooth and complete stone index. www.indiandentalacademy.com
  11. 11. Close the upper frame of the articulator until the incisal guide pin rests on the incisal guide table. Leave the articulator in this position until the mounting stone has set. www.indiandentalacademy.com
  12. 12. To mount the lower cast, first raise the incisal guide pin approximately 2-3mm to compensate for the thickness of the interocclusal record. Tighten the incisal guide pin screw. www.indiandentalacademy.com
  13. 13. Invert the Articulator and place the interocclusal record on the upper cast. Next, place the lower cast into the interocclusal record. www.indiandentalacademy.com
  14. 14. • Hinge the lower frame closed and make sure there is sufficient space for the mounting stone. • Apply mounting stone to the base of the lower cast and lower mounting plate. • Close the articulator until the incisal guide pin contacts the incisal guide table. • Leave the articulator in the closed position until the stone has set. www.indiandentalacademy.com
