Proposal<br />TitleScience Alive !BackgroundBook is the first source in this world to convey any learning method to user , but it was old and people nowadays seeking new invention to attract people learning in everything. Science is one of the things in the world we can not see it perfectly. Sometime we need telescope , microscope to learn about science.Problem IdentificationWe all know that to learn anything mostly come from the book , without book there is no other way to learn. Then comes the internet as another source or medium to convey any learning infromation to user. For the school student they still using old book form that they must read everything to get the information. In some way it does not effective 100% because people nowadays prefer video or animation than texts. With this Augmented Reality form it will take about 80% - 90% effectiveness in study and it also attract student to learn because it has animation instead old text form. Science subject in school can be categorized one of boring subject for most of the student especially in primary school because student can not visualize and everything is fact , student need something has connection with entertainment to learn science and have fun when learn it.Aim & Objective- To create new environment in study field- To persuade student especially primary school student to learn science well- To attract student in learning phases- To increase the effectiveness in student learning- To give student visualize certain things in science that they can not see or touch<br />

Proposal ( Cont )<br />MotivationI was one of the primary school student , when come to science subject is make me hard to learn it because i can not see the actual things only seeing the picture in the book. With this application i think student will have more fun in learning science.“I never teach my pupils; I only attempt to provide the conditions in which they can learn.” - Albert EinsteinIdeation or ConceptCreating an interactive augmented reality application using web cam and desktop computer. Most people own new technology such as computer, through this application the effectiveness in learning will increase and it also will attract more user to learn. My idea and concept is there’s a special books with no text inside only have few markers. When user open the book infront of the web cam there will appear a 3d animation object on the marker inside the screen monitor and a few information will include.<br />Link for the reference videos<br /><br />

Research and Analysis<br />I choose the Investigating Earth and Universe for the primary school science learning , here the syllabus<br /> Investigating The Earth and The UniverseThe theme aims to provide the understanding of the Earth, Moon, Sun and Solar System as a whole. The theme also provides understanding of the effects of the earth, moon and sun movements and how these movements can be beneficial to mankind.The contents of the theme are as follows:1. The Solar System.- The constituents of the Solar System.- The planets move around the Sun in the Solar System.- The relative size and distance of the Earth, Moon and Sun.- The placement of the Earth in the Solar System.2. Constellations- The examples of constellations.- The importance of constellations.3. The Movement of the Earth, the Moon and the Sun.- The occurance of day and night.- The phases of the moon.4. With the advent of ActionScript 3.0, developers like Mario Klingemann and others began experimenting with realtime image analysis techniques for Flash Player. Idea Development<br />Dinosaur Alive !For my idea , i been looking through useful technologies nowadays , there's and application called "dinosaurs alive" . when i look back into the application , i want to help those children learning especially science coz i cant be visualize by our naked eyes , here some of the reference that i've been done.<br /> Reference video<br />

Contextual Studies<br />History Context<br /> The term AR is believed to have been coin in 1990 by thomascondell employee of Boeing information about the surrounding real world becomes interactive and digitally usable the student would have higher educational understanding on the subject here are two commonly accepted definitions of Augmented Reality today. One was given by Ronald Azuma in 1997 . Azuma's definition says that Augmented Reality<br /> * combines real and virtual<br /> * is interactive in real time<br /> * is registered in 3D<br /> Additionally Paul Milgram and Fumio Kishino defined Milgram's Reality-Virtuality Continuum in 1994 many movies started making futuristic kind of movie with holograms etc2 eg:G.Ijoe, avatar many people started taking interest in AR<br />Social Context<br />- Advertising: Marketers started to use AR to promote products via interactive AR applications.<br />- Architecture: AR can be employed to simulate planned construction projects<br />- Art: AR can be incorporated into artistic applications that allow artists to create art in real time over reality such as painting, drawing, modeling, etc<br />- Entertainment and education: AR can be used in the fields of entertainment and education to create virtual objects in museums and exhibitions, theme park attractions (such as Cadbury World), and games (such as ARQuake and The Eye of Judgment).<br />

  20. 20. Final Synopsis<br />Augmented Reality (AR) is the new invention that can create a virtual environment for the audience. This invention can be manipulate to any entertainment or educational based. The purpose of this project is to help student in learning process. To enhance the effectiveness in delivery the content towards audience. The content is explain about all the planets in our solar system including sun and moon. Later on it’s also explain about the phase of the moon. Not exclude the information about both eclipse , the sun and moon eclipse.<br /> This technology help audience especially students in learning process. The content emphasis on the one of the topic in science subject. Most of them <br /> ( student ) hard to visualize the planets even using video and pictures. This <br /> Technology in another invention that can make difference in our learning <br /> environment<br />
