What is “It Gets Better” Project ?It Gets Better is an:- Internet-based project founded in the USA- by Dan Savage and his husband Terry Miller on Sept 21, 2010,- in response to the suicides of teenagers who were bulliedbecause they were gay or were suspected gay.- these bullying cases led to suicide among LGBT youthMany LGBT youth cant picture what their lives might be like asopenly gay adults. They cant imagine a future for themselves. So, ItGets Better shows them what people lives are like, lets show themwhat the future may hold in store for them.
  6. 6. How It Works?Beginning with one inspiring video, Dan Savage used the web tocreate the It Gets Better project--a movement that has generatedthousands of uplifting videos that give hope to teens.
  7. 7. WHY “IT GETS BETTER”? NETWORK SOCIETY  It was started locally, by 2 people, SHARED then mobilized, and IDENTITIES became a global movement. SHARED VALUES 30.000 videos, Watched >40 million times  It utilizes the power of media to spread its cause.

The Trevor Project, a benefactor of the It It includes prominent Gets Better Project, is determined to endfigures to move people suicide among LGBT youth by providing life-saving and life-affirming resources including a nationwide, 24/7 crisis It has its real impacts intervention lifeline, digital community and advocacy/educational programs that create a safe, supportive and positive environment for everyone. It shows new way ofsupport for a movement GLSEN (The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network), a benefactor of the It Gets Better Project, is a national education organization working to ensure safe schools for ALL students, regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity.
