  3. 3. Second Timothy 3:14-15 But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
  4. 4. Second Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

  6. 6. Romans 12:2; First Peter 2:9 First Corinthians 9:22 It’s all about our goal: We are like the world only in ways that draw people closer to Christ. When the world is ungodly and sinful, we are different! How Do I Balance These?

  12. 12. The Crucial Step “ continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of ” (verse 14) Conviction to the truth!

Two Kinds of Faith <ul><li>Inherited </li></ul><ul><ul><li>“ If it was good enough for my dad/mom, it’s good enough for me.” </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Comes from a lack of personal Bible study and prayer. </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Intimate </li></ul><ul><ul><li>I know what I believe and why I believe it. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Can stand up to temptation </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Enjoys time communicating with God. </li></ul></ul>

  15. 15. … but those facts should lead us to our own faith in God.
  16. 16. Never think you know all you need to know about the Bible… … and never think it’s too late to start learning!
