General Requirements<br />Rebated equipment must be:<br />Replacing existing equipment – no new construction<br />Purchased new and at retail price<br />Installed by a professional contractor according to manufacturer specifications and applicable codes<br />Installed and operational prior to requesting a rebate<br />√<br />

Custom Rebates<br />Commercial & industrial customers only<br />Requires program evaluation and pre-approval before a rebate can be offered to a customer<br />Customer-developed gas-savings calculations per project<br />May require a third-party provider to assist the customer<br />Project pre- and post- installation inspection and measurements<br />Rebates based on:<br />Chicagoland - $1/therm saved (50%, $25k/50k)<br />Nicor - $0.75 or $1/therm saved (30%, $100k/$100k)<br />Custom<br />

Instant Discount!<br />$<br />Contractors can offer customers an instant discount in the amount of the rebate and the rebate will be payable to the contractor.<br /> The benefits of an instant discount… <br />Customers reduce their up front out-of-pocket costs, while the price charged by the contractor remains the same <br />Contractors can close sales on high efficiency products faster<br />There is minimal paperwork/hassle for contractors<br />Rebate processing time: <br />Chicagoland = 12 weeks<br />Nicor = 2 weeks<br />

Application Requirements<br />When submitting a rebate application, customers must include*:<br />Complete application – download from site<br />Invoice noting:<br />Equipment identification and total cost<br />Proof of payment<br />Manufacturer specification sheet<br />If a tenant is applying for rebates they need to include written permission from the property owner<br />*(see specifics on each application)<br />
