Technical Committees Technical Committees (TCs) are a great way for young ASHRAE members to get involved with four of ASHRAE’s key contributions to the industry: – Codes and Standards • via Standard Project Committees (SPC) – Research – Programs – Handbook TCs have scheduled meetings at both Winter and Annual Conferences (free and open) – More active TCs & SPCs have conference calls and even in-person meetings in-between Sign up as a: – Voting Member – Corresponding Member Find a topic you are interested in and just show up! Chapter Technical Transfer Committee (CTTC) Chair: – Cyndi Hart Largest chapter committee with over a dozen members and two official subcommittees Disseminates technical knowledge through seminars, meetings and tours Administers the Chapter Engineering Excellence Awards for local projects Illinois Chapter

History Chairperson: Anthony (Tony) Ranallo – Additional Contact: Eric Rosenberg Tracks, records, and explores chapter history Prepares display for CRC (chapter regional conference) and annual meeting (Chicago, Jan 21-25, 2012) Ongoing work: – Interviews of key and long-time members (incl. audio/video) – Digitization and organization of chapter archives/documents – Helping promote and show off ASHRAE’s largest chapter Illinois Chapter
