My Application  Motivate the members to represent the Institute in various inter-college and national events, ACM-ICPC events.  Motivate members and myself to understand the real need of coding, technologies and techniques involved.  Coding alone won’t help - Design and development of innovative and creative projects help a lot in real learning.  Planning to cover coding techniques, various technology stacks used by innovative startups, design of real life problems and prep for coding events.
  3. 3. Closure  Do some creative innovative projects and be part of great internships.  Closure, something you have learned and implemented.
  4. 4. Participation in Coding Events  Participation in various Coding Events and Competitions enable you to ascertain your current position with respect to others.  Most coding events are online.  ACM ICPC , TopCoder, OPC etc.
  5. 5. Solutions to Problems  Google  Culmination of various resources – Profs, Seniors, Workshops.  Original Idea (always check if it already exists !!)
  6. 6. Communication  Communication is the key to everything.  For eg., Coding Interview Style  Project / Idea Discussion  Your view matter too. Getting into Arguments and Agreements, both are important.
  7. 7. What we did in the various sessions?  Algorithmic Design – Logical Thinking  Latest Trends in the Software Domain  Softwares available to achieve the solution at hand.  Online Coding Contests  Game Programming  Concepts of Hacking (Varun)
  8. 8.  HTML Basics  CSS Basics  Maintaining a Website Server  Web Dev (Content Management Systems) – Ramesh, Sowmya Jain  Understanding Ubuntu 12.10 – Anand
  9. 9.  Visual Basic, Visual C# (emphasizing the fact that programming language is immaterial when compared to solving the problem)  HTML Forms  PHP Basics  Coding Style – Object Oriented  Java Fundamentals (a part of coursework ??)  Algorithmic Puzzles – Approach and Motivation  Touched upon Databases but were discussing interesting topics from Security and Cryptography.
