  3. 3. ANNUAL CROPPED AREA MAPPING Objective Create a 30m resolution map of the area under cultivation for row crops. Maps customized for each client • Maps are presented in our customized web portal • Fields are divided into small, medium and large field sizes • Statistics can be extracted via administrative region or hand drawn free-form shapes • Helps a regional sales office determine what areas have commercial farmers and the extent of their acreage.

  6. 6. CROP MAP SPECIFICATION Each map segments fields into small, medium and large-sized fields for market and proper deployment of field sales resources. Our annual cropped area maps are 30m resolution and can be applied to any major crop.
  7. 7. MENA data for maize and wheat/barley is available for 2016, 2017 and for some countries, 2018. The data is repeatable and comparable across years, and can be generated without additional ground data. MIDDLE EAST AND NORTH AFRICA (MENA) DATA

Query system allows for crop-type statistics • Country level comparable annual cropped area statistics • Admin1 district statistics, either selected via map or online • Statistics can be modified according to field size (small, medium, large) or by elevation (below 900m, between 900 and 2000m, and above 2000m) • Freeform query of agricultural statistics via circle or square ONLINE STATISTICAL QUERY
  9. 9. BUSINESS DATA OVERLAY Key business data can be overlaid on maps for ease of use and interpretation.
  10. 10. • Maize data: Working in blocks, we will provide cropped area data throughout the year for countries where maize is a major crop and where there is commercial interest. • Each country will have data posted three months after harvest. CONTINENTAL APPROACH Maize Regions
