The system is battery-free. It is equipped with temperature, light and humidity sensors and with a Micro Controller Unit (MCU) for data treatment and wireless management. The light sensor discriminates to contribute of direct and diffusive light. The MCU and an 802.15.4 transmitting module are placed in a plank. The goal of this project is to realize automatic fully-integrated device representing the single low cost node of a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) to be installed in each PV module of a solar power plant. This project uses regulated 5V, 750mA power supply. 7805 three terminal voltage regulator is used for voltage regulation. Bridge type full wave rectifier is used to rectify the ac output of secondary of 230/18V step down transformer.
