When tasks don’t need to operate within a tight compliance regime but still require human creative skills, task-based requisitioning, digital job board platforms like are options. Fast thinking tasks that are low on integrity but highly demanding are ideally suited to crowdsourcing platforms able to reach large audiences of experts. Slow thinking high on cognitive demands – especially data processing tasks - generally favors robots. When they need to occur within a ‘firewalled’ high integrity environment artificial intelligence-enabled solutions such as chat-bots and software robots are sensible options. Slow Thinking High Integrity / High Capability When cognitive tasks demand both high integrity and capability, these may still fall to the ‘key workers’ of enterprises. Direct employment contracts are arguably the best way to secure these skills. That said, more and more of these roles are being fulfilled by AI as time moves on! Slow Thinking Low Integrity / High Capability Outsourcing options and federated AI platforms may be good options to consider for low integrity but high capability cognitive tasks although the options available to do so remain limited to-date.
