Later, hidden hunger was recognized ie the quality of the food not just the quantity. So nutrition security was added to food security. The next focus We believe the next big focus should be Smart Food ie food that fulfills all 3 criteria of being: good for you, good for the planet and solutions that also engage the farmer so it is goo for the farmer. Smart Food - tackles the biggest global issues in UNISON: malnutrition, rural poverty (livelihoods), environmental (climate change, water scarcity)

But we shouldn’t do this with any food, it needs to be with Smart Food – food that fulfills all the criteria of being good for you, the planet and the farmer.
