Innovate against hunger

ICRISAT's mission is to reduce poverty, hunger, malnutrition and environmental degradation through research
innovations in the dryland tropics. We are a member of the Consortium of 15 Centres making up the CGIAR,
a global agriculture research partnership for a food secure future.
Poverty and hunger will reduce if farmers have access to innovations and adopt them. To make this happen
we work with farmers, governments, national research organizations, NGOs and the private sector.
Innovate against Hunger
An exhibition of agricultural innovations from the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi Arid Tropics
( IC RISAT) a nd partners. These images illustrate the impact of our research on smallholder farmers: how to
'innovate against hunger' by ensuring farmers can access and adopt tools like drought tolerant and pest resistant
seed varieties; practices like better water and soil fertility management; and opportunities such as market demand.
