Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) • MEL platform; online MIS for CRP-GLDC • MEL strengthened and upgraded in 2018 • Process of online data curation enhanced by training GLDC scientists in India, Kenya, Morocco, Niger, Ibadan and France • Scientists at other locations trained through video conferencing, online tutorial and guides • 2019 PoWB generated online through MEL • Annual Report 2018 being generated through MEL • Efficiency for online reporting preparation increased by 70% compared to 2018 planning stage • All CRPs to support SMO’s common dashboard – CLARISA (CGIAR Level Agricultural Results Interoperable System Architecture) • MEL to be fully compatible with CLARISA for harvesting CRP-GLDC data directly from MEL in 2019

GLDC Innovation Fund • US$ 480,000 in 2018; strategic investment through GLDC Innovation Fund • Leverage GLDC partnerships and strengthen capacity of GLDC network institutions • Reserved for Non-CGIAR partners to leverage expertise and formalize engagement where mutually beneficial • Engagement with non-CGIAR partners; innovative seed systems, value addition, market integration through domain- specific decision-support tools and deliver mechanism • 14 Concept notes qualified for Innovation Fund Grant in 2018; (FP3-3, FP4-5, FP5-5, CapDev-1) • Grant disbursed through sub-grant agreements • US$ 515,000 for 2019
