  3. 3. 3 Introduction Ethiopia Located in East Africa, Horn of Africa. Population: 102.4 million(2016, World Bank) Languages Spoken: ➢ Amharic (29.3% )=> Official language ➢ Afaan Oromo (33.8%) ➢ Tigrinya (5.9%) ➢ But, there are many other languages

  5. 5. 5 Ethiopian Free and Open Source Software Network (EFOSSNET) EFOSSNET since February 2005 ➢ Network of ICT professionals ➢ Aim: to promote FOSS ➢ Programme of awareness raising, research and training on FOSS But, many organizations/companies use proprietary software.

To supported, help and involve in FOSS contribution

  12. 12. 12 Conclusion Build Libreoffice(LO) community in developing countries can widen the FOSS/LO communities. Build FOSS/LibreOffice community and connected with another LO communities can make an opportunity for better contribution and success on LibreOffice projects.
