Introduction• Bharti Foundation – Bharti Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Bharti Group Companies. – The prime objective is to bridge the existing education divide and make quality education accessible to underprivileged children in rural India. – The Foundation aims to help underprivileged children and young people of our country realize their potential.• Satya Bharti School Program – The Satya Bharti School Program is the flagship program of Bharti Foundation. – It aims to deliver free quality education to underprivileged children, with special focus on the girl child across rural India. – Present Operational Status: • Number of Schools Operational: 254 • States of Operation: West Bengal, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh & Tamil Nadu • Number of Students Enrolled: Over 38,000

About the Community• Geographical Location: It is established in village Achrol, Amer in dist.- Jaipur Raj• Cultural Background: People are very poor, They based on agriculture or daily labour. The role of girl child is not good they treat as labour for work.• Role of Satya Bharti School in the Village: The of Satya Bharti School is as a Model School of the village, It’s a learning temple.• Participation in ‘Design for Giving’ School Contest: School participated in Design for Giving for ‘Gender discrimination’
  4. 4. Cultural background of community:-• Major cast- Blacksmith, Weaver, Gurjar etc.Source of earning of community:-• Handicraft printing , labor work.
  5. 5. • We felt:-• Around 60% of adults are illiterate (mainly women‘s)• Most of time men’s waste their time in gossips & playing cards.• Most of them use their thumb for signing in parents meeting since they are uneducated.• They wants to be educate but they hesitate due to their present age .

We Imagine• These adults men/women can be literate and we could make them learn to write their name in place of giving the thumb impression.• For that we have to plan for increase in literacy ratio of this particular community through taking help of their children’s to learn and by doing this they will not give any thumb impression on the documents.
  7. 7. We Did• We talk to the community member’s in a meeting and motivate them so that they can be get a minimum literate.• Students doing help to parents and other family member’s for read write their name’s.• Teachers of the school are also helping the community through community class “to make them read & write “
  8. 8. Impact on community:-• Community also responding in the initiative of the school and children. Parents are learning with help of their children to read & write their name.• Those adults parents learn to read & write their name are:
