  1. 1. Global Warming - Human Activities are increasing green house effect . When people drive a car or operate a factory they burn coal, oil , and other fuels. This adds extra green house gases to the air and the extra gases trap more heat. This has lead to Global Warming. Global Warming is the steady rise in the average temperature of the Earth surface.  Conservation of forests- Deforestation is the major cause of the ‘ green house effect ‘ as trees use carbon dioxide when they their own food. Fewer trees mean that less carbon dioxide is being out of the atmosphere. 
  2. 2.  More the trees, less would be the pollution ; lesser the trees, more would be the pollution.
  3. 3.     Cutting and burning of the trees have forced the wild animals to flee from their natural habitat Many animals are dying or being killed. Some animals are being killed for their medicinal values. Some animals are already extinct.
  4. 4.  NATURAL PARKS AND WILDLIFE SANCTUARY ARE PLACES WERE ANIMALS ARE PROTECTED.
  5. 5.    Forests and wildlife maintain and ecological balance of nature. It provides a great biological diversity. Wildlife serves as a source for domestication of animals.
  6. 6.  HUNTING- Is a killing of animals for recreation , for food, for safety or for profit through sale of their products. This has led a remarkable decrease in population of wild animals. Therefore restrictions are imposed on killing of certain animals.

  8. 8.  THE RED DATA BOOK IS A RECORD OF ALL ENDANGERED PLANTS AND ANIMALS . THE STATUS OF EXISTNCE AND CONSERVATION OF VARIOUS PLANTS AND ANIMALS SPECIES IN NATURE IS ASSIST FROM TIME TO TIME BY DIFFERENT ORGANIZATIONS. IN 2006 IUCN PUBLISHED A RED LIST COVERING 40, 168 SPECIES , OF WHICH 16,118 SPECIES WERE CONSIDERED THREATENED, AND 784 SPECIES HAVE BECOME EXTINCT. INDIA HAS 49,000 PLANT SPECIES OF WHICH 70 PER ARE CRITICALLY ENDANGERED AND 20PER ARE UNDER THE THREAT OF EXTINCTION .
  9. 9.  A wildlife sanctuary is a region which provides protection and suitable living conditions to wild animals, specially endangered species or migratory birds.
  10. 10.  A national park is a large area of land owned by the government, which offers protection to animals and plant species and provides public recreation.
  11. 11.  A biosphere is a huge area that offers protections to plants, animals and also the tribal communities that may exist in the forest area.
  12. 12.  The hunting of lions, tigers, deers, great indian bustard and peacocks are banned in India . Project tiger was launched in India in 1973
  13. 13.  Illegal hunting or poaching of wild animals is another is major threat to biodiversity. Animals are hunted for hide, bone or tusks that causes endangerment of species
