  3. 3. ABOUT REEL About the Product:
Reel is a mobile app that indexes your available movies from multiple sources and allows you to search for and purchase them in one easy library. Reel allows you to send the video to your computer/device, so it’s ready to watch. " " About the Project:
Reel is a new start-up based in the Bay Area. Reel is looking to create a unified movie watching experience for the consumer across their multiple libraries.
The team was given the constraint of focusing on the iphone and web as their primary method of delivery. " REEL MY VIDEO LIBRARY

  6. 6. DESIGN RESEARCH Methods:" " • • • close user interview" walk-through" calendar-viewing" We conducted a close user-interview, focusing on their purchasing experiences. We asked them to walk us through their day and looked for moments where we felt an appropriate use of technology could improve their experience. ! " " Findings:
While technologically savvy, the user valued privacy and control. ! One area in which the user did use online shopping was films. However, the user was forced to search across his multiple resources to discover if a particular movie was available to him. ! " Opportunities Identified: " We identified an inefficient fragmented experience. There was a need for a way to unite multiple resources into one searchable index." " REEL MY VIDEO LIBRARY
  7. 7. DESIGN ITERATION ITERATION 1 Method: We tested four users with a paper prototype in a participatory design session. We had the users run through the prototypes with minimal intervention to identify areas of discomfort.
  8. 8. DESIGN ITERATION Method: " The team created a prototype using POP that simulated the flow of the app" AWARENESS
