Projection Mapping

  1. 1. BULIDINGS Projection Mapping
  2. 2.  3D projection mapping is an attractive and impressive way to convey your message to audience. 3D mapping enables you to create stunning 3D effects on buildings as well as objects for illumination, marketing or campaigning purposes. The 3D video is projected exactly to match the object’s dimension and thereby creating extraordinary visual effects.  Let the building be of any size or shape, 3D Projection Making creates jaw dropping visual effects on it. The technology is not limited to corporate events but it can be enjoyed at family functions such as weddings.  It is no more the limitation of the technology. Hyper Sonic is proud to bring the technology at your doorsteps. INTRODUCTION
  3. 3. What is Projection Mapping? Projection Mapping uses everyday video projectors, but instead of projecting on a flat screen (e.g. to display a PowerPoint), light is mapped onto any surface, turning common objects of any 3D shape into interactive displays. More formally, projection mapping is “the display of an image on an arbitrarily complex surface”. Projection mapping can be used for advertising, live concerts, theater, gaming, computing, decoration and anything else you can think of. Specialized software or just some elbow grease can be used to align the virtual content and the physical objects. Projection mapping can be used on buildings to advertise, entertain or inform your audience.
  4. 4. How does 3D Projection Mapping work The technique of 3D Projection Mapping works on the concept of wrapping and blending the projected image so that the image could be superimposed on target surface area or object with three dimensional visuals/displays. It doesn’t mean that the technique replaces the source object completely, it rather superimposes projected image on it with 3D visual output. The resolution and brightness levels must be used properly so that the projected image has optimum display visuals. Sometimes, the poor visual situation occurs on account of poor projection mapping whereby edge-blending projection mapping technology is resorted to fix the visible band caused by the poorly done mapping. 3D projection mapping technique works perfectly with quality projectors. In other words, the quality of projection mapping display is subject to the quality of projector/s used.
  5. 5.  A “wow-factor” – when done right, the visual impact of projection mapping transcends ordinary video projection to deliver memorable experiences for any audience.  Cost-effective transformation of any space - display many different visuals easily on any surface or structure.  The projected image is mapped to fit the surface and space – you don’t need to make physical changes to the structure of your display. The image can mask and change the look of everything you are projecting What can Projection Mapping offer
  6. 6. How to make a video mapping projection Projection mapping uses a combination of four factors working in unison to create the visual experience: Content (the visuals that are projected) Projection Hardware (the equipment that is doing the projecting) Surface (The Building – any size) Mapping (the technical aspects of conforming the projection onto the building) The most important thing you need is, obviously, a video projector. The video projector need to be powerful if the area to cover is that of a building. For little objects and for room projection you need a basic 15K lumens so to have a good definition of your work. But you will need up to 30K lumens to produce a clear, accurate image on a big surface and/or from a long distance. ‫عودا‬

  8. 8. VIDEO-MAPPING IS GREEN AND CLEAN Indeed: apart from the unavoidable waste of energy necessary to project the images, you don´t need any kind of paint or chemical component to modify the building/space/object. Another advantage of video-mapping is that it does not damage in any form the building you project on, and once the magic is, everything remains as it was.
