3. Agent of blessings

  1. 1. Beloved agent of blessings Luke 10:1-24 A. Some reflections on church’s traditions on evangelism  Employ different programs to attract people to church  Employ gospel salesman or consumerism approaches  Employ the concept of conquering all nations for Christ B. The calling of Abram is to be the agent of blessings (Genesis 12:1-3) Being blessed – to be blessings – blessings to all nations C. The teaching of our Lord Jesus is to be agent of blessings (Matthew 5:41-45a; 7:1-2)  Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that.  Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.  Jesus’ strategy: hate multiplies hate, violence multiplies violence.  Only loving your enemy and forgiveness can drive away hate and darkness.  Bless others in the same manner you want to be blessed!
