The application we see today is a step up improvement from MESH to MIMO in large citys or areas with high density requirements such as in building deployments. This is also used by cellular company's to offload (Wi-Fi), 4G, 3GPP Long Term Evolution LTD, Wi-MAX and HSPA+. services from local cells and provide a faster experience, interconnection to the Radius server data base of the cell provider with automatic authentication . By using MIMO in 2.4Ghz N which is 1 Tx and 1 Rx antenna and radio per unit Tx , Rx we now mirror the cellular designs,
The idea setup is 500 meters so i-phones, i-Pads with Wi-Fi can hand off and use the system.
There are several hundred voip apps for i-phones, Blackberry also which allow the client to use an alternative VOIP service with Wi-Fi.
The speeds that can be sold are 10,15,20,25 Mbps for example using N and the connection speed depends on the device distance and NLOS , many will use USB dongles with USB extensions or our XOU2410NBG 1 watt 4Km NLOS 10Km LOS USB device

 7. 9.

MIMO - In radio, multiple-input and multiple-output, or MIMO (commonly pronounced my-moh or me-moh), is the use of multiple antennas at both the transmitter and receiver to improve communication performance. It is one of several forms of smart antenna technology. Note that the terms in-put and output refer to the radio channel carrying the signal, not to the devices having antennas.

MIMO technology has attracted attention in wireless communications, because it offers significant increases in data throughput and link range NLOS without additional bandwidth or transmit power. It achieves this by higher spectral efficiency (more bits per second per hertz of bandwidth) and link reliability or diversity (reduced fading). Because of these properties it works same as a cell service.

MIMO is an important part of modern wireless communication standards such as IEEE 802.11n (Wifi), 4G, 3GPP Long Term Evolution, WiMAX and HSPA+.
