  1. 1. HOW EFFECTIVE IS THE COMBINATION OFYOUR MAIN PRODUCT AND ANCILLARYTEXTS?

INTRODUCTION A promotion package for the release of an album, to include a music promo video, together with; a cover for its release as part of a Digi-pack, a magazine advert for the Digi-pack (CD/DVD package). The idea was that we had to produce a coherent package with a house style and that worked together to attract audiences to the actual product.

WAS MY PRINT WORK COHERENT? I personally think my print work was quite coherent, I connected well with keeping to the vintage looking theme throughout both for, the Digi- pack and my magazine advert. I kept very closely to my house style in terms of colouring and the font work. During my research that this was the case in most promotional packages, not just for the Brit-pop genre. I also tried to carry this through the same style in both ancillary pieces and our music video. For the same style for the photos I took, I had to use the same levels of RGB on photoshop, so the photos would look the same vintage look.
  7. 7. WAS OUR MUSIC VIDEO COHERENT? I think that for the most part of our music video it is very coherent, we kept the costumes and the same actors throughout the video. We also made sure that the style was kept the same throughout, by using the same props, The rabbit and pig masks, and the locations the same. Because I added different levels of RGB to my print work to make a vintage looking style, we tried to create a similar colouring to the music video itself by making it dimmer, and changing it by using reflectors and reflecting LED lights off the wall.
