The City Club of Cleveland Receives Contribution from AT&T
Funding to help continue Youth Forum Series
CLEVELAND, Ohio, Oct.24, 2016 — AT&T* has made a $25,000 contributiontoThe CityClubof
Clevelandinsupportof the organization’sYouthForumSeries.The contributionwillbe presented
at today’sYouth Forumregardingthe educationachievementgap.
Each year,a groupof committedandengagedhighschool studentsmeettoplanandproduce City
Clubforumsforotherhigh school students.Membersof the YouthForumCouncil come froma
numberof area highschoolsandtheymeetregularlytodeterminethe topicsandinvite the
speakersforas manyas five forumseachyear.The studentsare thenresponsible forrunningthe
showand handlingall logisticsof eachprogram.
The City ClubYouthForumCouncil providesaunique opportunity forparticipantstodevelop
effectivecommunicationskillsbyholdinggroupdiscussionsoncurrenteventsandpublicaffairs,
developinganalytical thinkingskills bydebatingthe topicandpointsof view reflectedbythe
Forumspeaker,andencouragingpositive communityinvolvementbyprovidingadirect
experience withengageddialogue.
