TOTAL SAFETY = TOTAL CONTROL Though often creating safety will be well-intended, the truth is that total safety can only be achieved through total control, which removes people’s choices and creates an unhealthy culture in any environment where people work & live together. In fact, the actions taken to achieve total safety creates scenarios of neglect & encourages more extreme/radical behaviours in others, ironically leaving less room for achieving resilience. “For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction!” – Isaac Newton

FINDING THE CULTURAL MIDDLE GROUND To find resilience & a healthier culture which provides autonomy while installing more personal accountability, leaders need to understand what is needed to find the cultural middle ground which helps to unlock their own, their team’s and their organisation’s resilience.
