  3. 3. Product Description ● ● ● ● ● an open field version of carrom involves 4 players at a time with 2 teams of 2 members each Striker will be replaced by a football referred as strike-ball The carrom-men (the wooden puck, seed or coin) are replaced by balls referred to as coinballs The corner pockets will be replaced by two flag posts that mark each corner pocket.
  4. 4. Story Board ● ● ● ● ● The player in charge kicks the strike-ball to knock the coin-balls into the corner pockets Other players try not to let any coin-ball move off the field For each coin ball going off the field the player which allows it to happen gets a negative score For each coin-ball knocked off well into any of the corne pockets bags the player points and an extra chance. All the rules of carrom are applicable.
  5. 5. Benefit Proposition ● ● ● ● The game is unisex, and can be played by any age group, almost anywhere provided a minimum space of 15' X 15' It provides the players a good physical exercise. It helps improve your skills to concentrate and target at a particular aim and thereby provides a fun activity. It involves all the 4 members of the game at all instants thus avoiding any player to wait for his turn.
  6. 6. Stakeholders ● ● ● Children : They are the main stakeholders as they constitute the major target group. Parents : They are the next group of stakeholders that hold a place indirectly. Game companies : They are the people who develop the game mainly for monetary benefits.
  7. 7. Primary and Secondary Market ● ● The primary market of the game are the children in age group 6-12 years of age Following factors make the game suit them: 1. acquaintance to carrom and football 2. fit for physical activity and co-ordinating 3. easily available playing area 4. Inexpensive ● The secondary market involves the family members as the game can be played by any age group. (For elder generation the game area and number of coin-balls be increased accordingly.)
  8. 8. Assumptions ● Area - minimum 15ft X 15ft, outdoor, (preferably) hard surface, levelled ● Location - empty space excluding roads. ● Players - minimum of 4 players If more than 4 they should be in multiples of 4 ● ● ● Climate - robust equipment so very less impact of rain, storm, etc. Stamina - enough to continue the play atleast 1/2 hour Set-up - game set up with rules explained to new players would take less than 5-7 mins.
