BI Team Background <ul><li>Program initiated by Finance about 2 years ago. </li></ul><ul><li>Executive Sponsorship provided by Corp Controller. </li></ul><ul><li>Program vision is to provide an efficient set of tools for accurate and timely reporting and analysis. One Version of the Truth. </li></ul><ul><li>Tools in production: Cognos BI 8.3, Cognos EP 8.3,Cognos Finance, and MSFT SSIS for ETL. </li></ul><ul><li>Team includes 1 director, 1 systems manager (open), 1 lead engineer and 1 system analyst. </li></ul><ul><li>Partners with developers in the business areas. For example: EP modeler in FP&A, Finance report author in Accounting Shared Services, HR report author in Human Resources and Metrics development on the Performance Management team. </li></ul><ul><li>Leverages IT infrastructure team, PMO team and QA team whenever possible. </li></ul>

Successes <ul><li>Over 150 users from various departments including users outside of Las Vegas authenticating via a different LDAP namespace. </li></ul><ul><li>Built user trust with accurate data models: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>General Ledger Reporting </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Human Capital Management Reporting </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Kronos Labor Reporting </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>LMS for Hotel Accounting Analysis </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Upgraded Cognos Finance to 7.4 and leverages Active Directory Groups and enabled Web Reporting. </li></ul><ul><li>Converted a proprietary data mart to a standard data mart using standard ETL tool. </li></ul><ul><li>Migrated from a LDAP domain to a different domain with limited downtime to the users. </li></ul>

Next Steps <ul><li>Duplicate the successes for Marina Bay Sands property in Singapore. </li></ul><ul><li>Elevate user experience from canned reports to active reporting and monitoring. </li></ul><ul><li>Design and construct a Consolidated Financial Data Mart. </li></ul><ul><li>Upgrade the systems from 8.3 to 8.4 and to provide drill back to Cognos Finance from BI. </li></ul><ul><li>Establish Service Level Agreements with stakeholders. </li></ul><ul><li>Continue to strengthen the relationship with our partners and align with the needs of the business. </li></ul>
