  6. 6. Classifying polynomials<br />Polynomials can be classified according to their number of terms:<br />Monomial: -5x3 <br />Binomial: a2 - 2ab<br />Trinomial: x2 + 2x - 1<br />
  7. 7. More terms<br />Like terms are terms with the same variable(s) raised to the same power(s).<br />A polynomial in simplest form if no two of its terms are like terms. <br />

  9. 9. Degrees of monomials<br />The degree of a monomial is the sum of the exponents of all of its variables:<br />
