Jehovahswitnesses 120907003942-phpapp01

  1. 1.  Jehovah’s Witnesses are Christians who believe that the Bible is God’s word and that Jesus is their Savior.
  2. 2.  Jehovah is the personal name of God, as found in the Bible. (Exodus 6:3; Psalm 83:18) A witness is a person who proclaims views or truths of which he is convinced.  Thus, the name Jehovah’s Witnesses designates them as a group of Christians who proclaim the truth about Jehovah, the Creator of all things.
  3. 3.  Wayan Brothers and Sisters  Larry Graham  George Benson  Michelle Rodriguez  Lark Voorhies  Prince  Katherine and Rebbie Jackson , Michael jacksons mother and sister  Venus and Serena Williams

  5. 5.  Jehovah’s witnesses believe you do not go to heaven nor ’hell’ well , at least the common definition of it .  ‘Hell is not a place of fiery eternal torment.’.  Although they do believe in ‘Hell’ (Sheol) Hell to them is mans common grave.  Death is a state of sleep until resurrection for the judgment The soul that sins will die but the righteous will live The soul will die also when someone dies, therefore the soul is not immortal Not everyone will resurrect, only those chosen by Jehovah.

  7. 7.  Jesus told his followers to “make disciples of people of all the nations.” (Matthew 28:19, 20) When he sent out his early disciples, Jesus directed them to go to the homes of the people. (Matthew 10:7, 11-13) After Jesus’ death, first- century Christians continued to spread their message both “publicly and from house to house.”
  8. 8.  Memorial of Jesus  DISTRICT CONVENTION OF JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES
  9. 9.  Jehovah's witnesses do not celebrate holidays.
  10. 10.  The modern-day organization of Jehovah’s Witnesses began at the end of the 19th century. At that time, a small group of Bible students who lived near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in the United States, began a systematic analysis of the Bible.  Among that group of sincere Bible students was a man named Charles Taze Russell. While Russell took the lead in the Bible education work at that time and was the first editor of The Watchtower, he was not the founder of a new religion.  Since Jesus is the Founder of Christianity, they view him as the founder of their organization.
  11. 11.  No. Many millions who lived in centuries past and who weren’t Jehovah’s Witnesses will have an opportunity for salvation. The Bible explains that in God’s promised new world, “there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” (Acts 24:15) Additionally, many now living may yet begin to serve God, and they too will gain salvation. In any case, it’s not our job to judge who will or won’t be saved. That assignment rests squarely in Jesus’ hands.—John 5:22, 27.
  12. 12.  Their holy book is the holy bible.  They consider the Bible to be the source of truth and the basis for all their beliefs
  13. 13. God will accomplish his original purpose for the earth:  free of crime  sickness,  death and poverty Transforming earth into a paradise.
  14. 14.  Jehovah’s witnesses are monotheistic .  They believe in only one God .
  15. 15.   Most Jehovah's witnesses live in NewYork.
