What is SEO ?
 SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization.
 SEO helps your website to get Organic traffic from the search engine
results page.
 Display your websites on the top of the Search Engine Results Page.
 SEO targets unpaid traffic (known as "natural" or "organic" results) rather
than direct traffic or paid traffic.
How Search Engine Work?
Search engines have three main functions:
1. Crawling
2. Indexing
3. Ranking
1. Crawling
 When we design a webpage and we host that, it will be in the online but not
appear in Google Search Engine.
 If your website want to appear in Google search engine, Google have some tools
like crawlers, spiders etc..,
 Google run these any tools through our websites, it will copy the content and
check our content related to want, and check our content related to what topic
and what are the keywords we are used and these all details Google crawl sent to
Data Server.
 Any update you put in your website it will automatically saved to data server.
 Crawler will run at any time.
2. Indexing
 The copies of webpages made by the Crawler and stored in a data center.
 Using these copies, the crawler creates the index of the search engine.
 Each of the web pages that you see on search engine listing is crawled and added to the
index by the web crawler.
3. Ranking
 Search engine provides the most relevant and useful answers in a
particular order to search query submitted by the user.
 Search engine show their top position only with genuine information.
 ie.,organic and not fake information
WHAT IS ON-PAGE SEO ?
 The process of updating elements such as coding, text, images etc within
our website or blog is called on-page optimization.
 On-page SEO is important because it help Search Engines and searchers
can easily understand your website and its content.
 Focus on website content and targeted keywords.
 The main goal is to improve website Search Engine rankings and earn
organic traffic based on keywords.
 Keywords trigger your site to appear in relevant searches, so you need to
optimize your pages to appear in the right search results.

 The term keyword it is commonly used in online marketing to refer to the
terms used in the online search engine. They are terms with which it is
intended to attract organic traffic to a website.
 A keyword, in the context of search engine optimization, is a particular word or phrase
that describes the contents of a Web page.
 A keyword is a specific word that people use to search for information
online.
 So when people search for that keyword or phrase in Google or other
search engines, they should find that page on your website.
 General keyword like "shoes." That way, for example, your ad would be
eligible to appear when someone searches for a wide variety of shoes or
visits websites about fashion.
 Use Keywords , but don’t stuff too many keywords for create traffic in an
artificial way.
Don’t do Keyword Stuffing
 Keyword stuffing is a search engine optimization (SEO) technique,
considered web spam or spamdexing, in which keywords are loaded into a
web page's meta tags, visible content, or backlink anchor text in an
attempt to gain an unfair rank advantage in search engines.
 When some of the phrases or words are repeated again and again
unnecessarily.
 Stuffing too many keyword can create negative impact.
 The easiest way to avoid keyword stuffing is to create rich content that will
be useful to the end user, that reads naturally.
 Although keywords should definitely be featured in your content, they
should not be included out of context to the reader.
TITLE TAG
 A title tag is an HTML element that specifies the title of a web page.
 Title tags are displayed on search engine results pages (SERPs) as the
clickable headline for a given result, and are important for usability, SEO,
and social sharing.
 The title tag of a web page is meant to be an accurate and concise
description of a page's content.
 Title tags helping search engine to understand, about your webpage.
 Title tag length should be 60-70 characters.
Meta Description Tag
 A meta description is a short summary, usually a character count of 160 or
less, that is shown in the search results and gives a searcher an idea of
what your page content is about.
 A meta description is an HTML feature that includes a short outline of what
is present in the given webpage.
 It takes place right under your URL in SERPs and will be one of the main
things people consider while clicking on your webpage.
 The meta description will be your chance to make a perfect first impression
on your visitors.
 Google aspires to offer the most relevant and informative results for
its users.
Headings Tags
 The Headings stand out on the pages and help guide users to sections that matter most to
them.
 You have H1 as the main heading and then five tags that function as SEO subheadings.
 We will focus on the three most common headings tags.
 The ‘H’ in H1, H2 and H3 stands for Heading. Every blog/post can be
given three headings.
 The first heading or title of the blog is automatically assigned H1.
 You can use H2 for the side-headings of your post. And H3 is for sub-
headings, if any, on the post.
 Make sure to use all the three types for better credibility.
ALT Image
 It specifies an alternate text for an image, if the image cannot be displayed.
 Using file name, description, which are related to our image, users know
what your image is all about.
 It helps your product to rank on Google and other image Search Engines.
 Image optimization is all about reducing the file size of your image.
 To overcome this, you want to optimize your image.
 It helps your product to rank on google and other image search engines.
URL Optimization
 Address of a specific webpage or a website on the internet.
 Complete web address including the name of the webpage, domain name
and the protocol to access the page.
 Some Domain providers like GoDaddy, Go-viral host etc.., they are selling
the domain names for the users and host the user websites.
Sitemap
 Sitemap is a list of pages of a website within a domain.
 A sitemap is a file that help search engines find the content of your
website.
 Using sitemap, our page will easily crawled by the Google and rank them.
 To submit your XML sitemap to Google.
 your XML file is generated, then download the file.
 In view sitemap, you will see your sitemap details.
 And upload the file in your hosting panel.
 Then go to google sitemap, and enter your URL in an XML file format then
submit it.
 Now Google will ready to read your XML sitemap.
Internal Linking
 An internal link is any link from one page on your website to another page
on your website.
 Internal links also connect your content and give Google an idea of the
structure of your website.
 They can establish a hierarchy on your site, allowing you to give the most
important pages and posts more link value than other, less valuable, pages.
 So using the right internal linking strategy can boost your SEO.

External Linking
 Connects your pages to others website.
 If you want to get more external links pointing to your site. ie., link
pointing from one domain to another is termed as an external link.
 If another website links to you, this is considered an external link to your
site. Similarly, if you link out to another website, this is also considered an
external link.
 External links are that which wants customers clicking on links that directs
them away from your website. External links are sometimes called
outbound links are an important part of search engine optimization.
Example of external link are example.com, someplace.com etc.
Bold and Strong
 Bold tag makes the word encapsulated in tags reflect BOLD texture.
 By making bold it does not differ the semantic meaning of the word, it just
enhances the look and grabs the attention.
 Strong tag makes the word encapsulated in tags in bold.
 It reads louder and boldly when compared to bold tag.
 You need to use the tag carefully and wisely wherever they are needed. It
is observed that targeted keywords have more significance in search
results which have BOLD tags.
