  2. 2.  Start with the kitchen: unload the dishwasher, clear the counters, clean the sink and sweep the floor Every Day  Clean all bathroom surfaces, the sink and toilet bowl  Make the beds  Throw a load of laundry in  Tidy living areas, clearing clutter and putting things away
  3. 3. Every Week  Wipe down all kitchen appliances  Clean washrooms thoroughly  Dust bedrooms and living areas  Change and wash bedding  Shake out throw rugs, vacuum and mop floors  Wipe all shared items, like phones, computer mouse, TV remotes, etc. with disinfecting wipes
  4. 4. Every Month  Clean out the fridge  Wash and disinfect garbage cans  Clean and clear drains  Vacuum upholstered furniture and flip sofa cushions  Remove cobwebs from ceilings and corners  Change air conditioning/furnace filters  Dust air vents and clean light fixtures
  5. 5. Every Season Wipe down all cupboard doors Flip, rotate and vacuum all mattresses Change out seasonal clothing in closets and drawers Ensure all seasonal equipment is cleaned and working (snow blowers, lawn mowers, etc)
  6. 6. Twice a Year  Clean out all kitchen cupboards and drawers  Clean oven  Pull out all major appliances and clean behind them  Clean stove hood filters  Take down and wash shower curtains, consider replacing shower liner  Change batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
  7. 7. Once a Year Move heavy furniture to clean underneath them Clean dryer exhaust duct and space underneath dryer Wash walls, wash/dry-clean draperies and clean vertical blinds Schedule home maintenance visits
