### Eng Puetne De Tubos

1. 1. A platform that can be raised
2. 2. A platform that can be raised

We are going to make a bridge with a platform that can be raised. The structure will be made with triangles of paper only

3. 3.

Before we start with the bridge we are going to do a resistance test on the traingulated structures

Triangles resistance test
4. 4.

In order to do this project we need these materials:

Paper

Thermofuse glue

Cord

Plywood

Triangle resistance test
5. 5.

First of all we will make the paper tubes. You roll the paper around a wood bar.

Triangles resistance test
6. 6.

Then glue the edge with a little glue. Take care because if you use too much, it will get stuck to the

Triangles resistance test
7. 7.

Since our tower is 30cm high we have to make:

4 tubes 30cm long

16 tubes 10 cm long

16 tubes de 13 cm long

Triangles resistance test 4x 30cm 16x13cm 16x10cm
8. 8.

With the tubes you will form two sides of the tower

Triangles resistance test Make two of these 30cm 10cm 13cm
9. 9.

In order to connect the bars properly try to make a gap at the end of the shortest bars

Triangles resistance test
10. 10.

Once you have two sides you can start joining them together like in the picture

Triangles resistance test 2X
11. 11.

Remember that the more triangles the stronger the structures will be

Triangles resistance test
12. 12. Triangles resistance test

Finally we will put all the towers together to make them more resistant.

The board has to be 30x40cm in order to cover 6 towers

13. 13. Triangles resistance test

We will check the resistance of our triangles¡¡

14. 14. Triangles resistance test

You have only six days to finish it, so

Let’s work

15. 15. A platform that can be raised

Now that we know how to make triangulated structures we are able to build a platform that can be raised

16. 16.

As you did before, o nce you have two sides you can start joining them together like in the picture

Triangles resistance test 2X
17. 17. A platform that can be raised

Attention¡¡¡¡¡

This time we have to leave a gap where the platform will be placed

18. 18. A platform that can be raised

This is the handle that will move our platform

20cm 3cm 8cm 5cm
19. 19. A platform that can be raised

The platform has to be 20x10cm and you have to make it as you did before

Cover it with a piece of paper 10cm 13cm 20cm
20. 20. A platform that can be raised

The platform form will be made with tubes and has to be movable, so make sure that one tube can be placed inside the other

5cm
21. 21. A platform that can be raised

Then you need to insert the crank inside the tower, using two tubes of 3cm diameter

Cranck
22. 22. A platform that can be raised

Finally you only need to connect the platform to the tower with a cord, making a knot at both ends
