  2. 2. What is involved in the work? <ul><li>There is a lot of food and other things that you must be skilled and have experience with like knifes, ovens and certain food. </li></ul>
  3. 3. Where does the work take place? <ul><li>This occupation takes place in a lot of places mainly a kitchen, but area varies from inside to the outside. </li></ul><ul><li>Chefs can work in a hotel, a cruise, and even a stand of some kind. </li></ul>
  4. 4. What are the working condition? <ul><li>The working conditions can change. It can change from a nice quiet kitchen to “Hells Kitchen”. </li></ul>
  5. 5. What type of training is needed to enter the field? <ul><li>The training mainly you needed is a high school diploma. </li></ul><ul><li>If you want a higher position you need to: </li></ul><ul><li>a) practice, practice, practice </li></ul><ul><li>b) go to culinary school </li></ul>
  6. 6. What are the possibilities of moving to a higher position? <ul><li>You need to train a lot and then maybe have a slim chance of moving to a higher position. </li></ul>
  7. 7. What can you expect to earn when you start? <ul><li>The minimum wage of a chef is $10-$20 dollars an hour and it can go up to $30 or more??? </li></ul>
  8. 8. What are your future prospects of this job? Is the field growing? <ul><li>The field is growing slowly. </li></ul>Job openings for chefs, cooks, and food preparation workers are expected to be plentiful through 2014.
