Press Release 9th Dec 2014 IBM and Geppetto today announced a partnership with the potential to revolutionize the way Parkinson’s disease patients engage in their own care, through by leveraging big data Geppetto Avatars IBM Watson The solution (called Sophie Watson) is capable of observing, having contextual conversations and responding with empathy, compassion and appropriate gestures. This offers the opportunity to dramatically improve patients management of their own care. Sophie is great at facilitating healthcare assessments such as the PDQ-39: thirty nine questions asked monthly to help gauge the stage of PD patients, their disease progression and/or improvement with medical management.
