  5. 6. 2011 CHC Budget Results <ul><li>Reduced base appropriations to $1.59 billion from $2.19 billion </li></ul><ul><li>Health Center Trust Fund - $1.0 billion for FY ‘12 </li></ul><ul><li>Total Funding $2.6 billion for FY ‘12 </li></ul><ul><ul><li>$600 million taken from Trust Fund to sure up existing appropriations ($2.19 billion) </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>$250 million used for ARRA Funded Health Centers </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>FTCA, Across the board cuts and Supplemental funding to Cooperative Agreements </li></ul></ul><ul><li>About $60-92 million available for growth in FY ‘11 </li></ul>

NOTE: Medicaid and Exchange patients will grow over the next 10 years. Private Insurance will likely decline. Ohio CHCs must increase Medicare patient population

Access Across Ohio <ul><li>Comprehensive needs analysis of each state indentifying: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Priority communities for new health center development </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Planned expansions of existing health </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Coordination: PCA/Existing CHCs/New Entities </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Demonstrate that PCAs and health centers have a plan and are prepared to address their state’s needs. </li></ul><ul><li>Identify PCA T/TA for new/existing Health Centers to: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Assure high scoring applications (90+) </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Drive toward full service health centers </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Promote and defend the CHC mission </li></ul>
