Brief• MediSafe is an mHealth (mobile health) patient engagement system and an app for medication adherence.• MediSafe is used by patients and pharma companies to promote medication adherence.• Both the system and app MVP are developed and on open beta (Both Android and iPhone) with more than 15000 download.• We are in advanced sale cycle with pharma companies working with us to promote the app.• MediSafe was chosen by Microsoft to be a part of Windows Azure Accelerator 2012.• Highly skilled experienced entrepreneurs are leading this project to its success. 1

  3. 3. MediSafe was created as a result of a personal, painfulexperience. The founders’ father, John, is a diabetic andconsumes medication regularly. The "did I take it already?"question arises on a regular basis and makes him a medical risk.Last year, John accidently double dosed on Insulin. Out ofconcern for his health, the founders undertook to find a solution. 3
  4. 4. The WW market cycles $640B, but with only 60% percentadherence.That damages the pharma companies’ bottom line.Researches claim that the loss of revenues due to non-adherence is around $187B yearly. 4
  5. 5. MediSafe bridges the gap between pharma marketers and thepatient.We have two practical products that connect to form one:• MediSafe App helps patients comply with their meds.• MediSafe Project is a set of amazing solutions for pharma marketers. 5

We havedesigned an awesome user experience.In the center you see your interactive pill box – We are designingvarious ones ranging from a techy one to grandma’s oldfashioned pillbox.In the pill box you can see your morning meds: the ones youtook, the ones you’re scheduled to take and the ones you forgotto take.What’s great about it is that you can also see your wife’s meds.You can manage your kids and your grandmother’s meds aswell.Adding your Rx is super simple: you just scan the NDC barcode,make sure the data is correct, and decide which of your familymembers monitors you. In case you forget to take the meds, thedesignated family member will be notified and can help youremember. 6
  7. 7. The platform is composed of two main parts:1. The app.2. The backend – that differentiates us from competitors. This includes functionality that 1. Syncs family members and caregivers. 2. Sends reminders by text to people who don’t have smartphones. 3. Automatically makes phone calls to anyone who prefers reminders by phone.3. The cloud also gives us valuable data, such as logs to browse in case of problems and send printouts to the doctor.4. We also make med consumption safer by recognizing meds collisions and track a case of emergency.We are also Connecting with Aetna and Kaiser and integratingwith leading platforms such as HealthVault and Indivo 7

  9. 9. Pharma companies have a challenge that our app solves. Up tonow, they have had no direct connection with the patient.Pharma marketers do not engage their end customers. Often,due to regulatory issues, they are unable to do so.We have identified an opportunity to make this happen. This iswhere MediSafe kicks in. 9

Unique differentiators include:• Family connectivity.• Creating incentives for all the eco-system to support adherence.• Message personalization – the notifications to a 50 year old with hypertension and a 20 year old diabetic are completely different.• Creating workflows for specific drugs• Customization – the App can be fully customized to the customer’s (pharms/drug store) needs including white- labeling. 11
