consumed for one wrong offering, killed for one wrong touch e.t.c.
God takes sin seriously.
The scales for sin – what and against whom? (analogy of a slap)
Consequences of sin – Col 1:21, John 8:34; Tim 2:26, John 3:20;
Eph 4:18, Rom 6:19, Rom 1:28; 2 Cor 4:4, Rom 1:26; 1 Pet 2:11,
Rom 1:24; Gen 8:21; Matt 9:12, Rom 3:10-18, Eph2:1-2 – We
were dead in Sin!
God’s wrath against sin – Ps 5:5-6, John 3:36, Ps 1-50 (14 times)
God’s Gracious Initiative – Dead men don’t invite, God invites
men. Deut 7:7-8, Jer 1:5, John 15:16

because God in Jesus decided. The Concept of Adoption. God
Seeks. Eph 1:3-6, Luke 15, 1-7. God initiates, we accept
responsibility.
5. More to Our Salvation - A
O Our Salvation is not merely by confessing –
O Salvation by accent and repeating a prayer, or Salvation
by accepting God’s invite to die to live. The cost of
discipleship: Peter, Andrew, James, John, Saheed.
Dangerously deceived: Matt 7:21-23.
O Cultural vs biblical Christianity. Repeated rededication Gal
2:20. Matt 7:13-14. Matt 10:17-22, Matt 16: 16, 24-25 Matt
24:9, Luke 14: 26-27,33. Belief in context James 2:19
(demons and others believe), John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Rom
10:9 (arguments- Matt 7:21-23). One of the biggest ploys
of the Devil in our generation is to allow people to believe
they are Christians when they are not – Dangerously
deceived. (analogy of a man hit by a truck) Matt 4:17.
Jesus’ first word – Repent. John the Baptist Matt 3:2, Acts
2:37-38 first salvation message. Ez 14:6, 1 Thes 1:9-10,

Repentance (our mind, our desires, our wills, our
relationships, our reason for living.

and all other world religions are,

O
All others have 8 fold paths, 5 pillars, rules and
regulations, only Jesus said, follow me!
All others have teachers showing the path, Jesus
said I am the way, the truth and the life. All
died, Jesus lives.
All others are religions and burdens of rules, Jesus
made a call for a personal relationship. Matt 11:2829
Jesus’ resurrection from the dead, makes him
timeless and his words relevant through all ages 1
Cor 15.
There is one way and judgment for other ways
John 5: 22-24, 26-29, Rev 20:11-15. No need for
satanic questions – Did God really say? Mark 9:4348, Rev 20:15, Rev 21:8, Rev 14:11, (symbols? For
what?). We no longer live in the horror of hell – “hell
of time”. Eternal life for believers John 3:16, 11:2526, 14:1-6, Rev 21: 1,4
7. More to Our Salvation - A
O Our Salvation is by Grace only, not works.
O Flesh cannot be holy. God gives a new heart and a new spirit.
John 3, Ez 36:25-28, Jer 31:33-34, Matt 1:21, John 1:29, Is
1:18, Ps 51:2, 1 Cor 6:11, 1 John 1:9, (marriage analogy – all
yours is mine),
O Following Jesus requires devotion to his word. John 8:31-32, John
15:7, 1 Cor 2:16, Rom 12:2, Col 3:9-10, 2 Cor 10:5.
O Our Salvation is not to simply be saved
O Matt 4:19 The mission must be clear from start! He won’t call them
O

to do it, he will cause them to do it.
Matt 28:19-20 Starts with a call, ends with a commandment.
We were saved to make disciples. Transformed to transform.
Transformation of mind, desires, wills, relationships, purpose for
living. If you are a true disciple, you will be supernaturally
compelled to make disciples. You must want to, not have to.
Believing requires proclaiming – no such thing as privatized
Christianity. With the realities of judgment and sin, it is
inconceivable not to proclaim. It is arrogant to be silent. Luke
24:47, Rev 5:9. John 15:7. Jesus was promising to give everything
needed to to spread your truth from wherever I live to the ends of
the earth.
Summary of our Story. Discipleship has become our souls
supreme desire. Dan 7:14, Matt 28:18,19. Eph 1:20, 21

Editor's Notes
Key thoughts: The conversion of Saheed – the easy road or the hard roadPeter was crucified upside down, Andrew crucified in greece, James was beheaded, John exiled. It’s more than acknowledging certain facts and saying certain words, it requires commitment. It’s a summon to lose your life, family, friends future and only live after all that is lost.Just ask Jesus into your heart, simply invite Christ into your life, Repeat this prayer after me – not anywhere in the bible, and not true. The call to follow is deeper! Many in this category fall under Matt 7:21-23Luke 14:26-27,33 to everyone else, these may sound crazy, to us this makes total sense. It’s an adventurous plunge into God’s hands.Belief! What about it? Nicodemus – charge to be born again, start out a new life devoted to following Jesus. Jailor – join the community of people being beaten and jailed. Romans – confes the sovereign lordship of Christ over their lives. Belief here is more than mental assent. Matt 7:21-23 is a shocking reminder that not all who say lord lord. The basis of our salvation is grace, only those who are obedient to the words of christ however will enter His kingdom. If our lives do not reflect the fruit of following Jesus, we are foolish to think we are his followers.Repentance means real change. It is an elemental transformation in someone’s mind, heart and life. Think differently, believe differently, feel differently, love differently, and live differently. You stop rebelling against God in sin, and stop relying on yourself for salvation. We know what repentance looks like in the lives of Muslims, Hindu and Idol worshippers. What does it look like in Christian Circles. What are our gods? Satisfiers – Pornographic videos, ungodly shows and movies, incesant shopping, obsessive consumption with looks, engulfed in money and materialism, busy efforts to climb corporate ladder , incessant worship of sports, our tempers when things don’t go our way, or worries when they don’t go our way, our overeating, our excesses and worldly indulgences. Our religious or spiritual achievement that prevents us from acknowledging our need for Christ. Success, status, food, fame, money, religion, possession.. If you derive satisfaction from these, you have idols to burn.
If Jesus rose from the dead, then we must believe everything he said. Resurrectio validates both the truthfulness and timelessness of Jesus’ teaching.I believe witnesses that got themselves killed Paschal.HellLuke 16: 22-23, Matt 22:23HeavenYour life needs to be transformed by the truth of God’s word.To Follow is to Trust and Believe, To Believe is to Proclaim.
Don’t get into the error of the energy of flesh. External rules and regulation without internal transformation is the effort of flesh. You need a new heart and a new spirit. John 3:3,5, Ez 25-28, Jer 31: 33-34Matt 1:21. Jesus has the power to save from sin. John 1:29. The lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world. Is 1:18, Ps 51:21 Cor 6:11, 1 John 1:9. Titus 3: 4-5It is faith in God that saves from sin. Faith is realizing that God’s pleasure in us will never be based on our performance for him, but on Christ’s performance for us.No Record!Matthew 9:2. Our greatest need, is to be forgiven, and reconciled to God for eternity. Forgiveness is God’s greatest gift. The Christian life is the outliving of the indwelling Christ.Luke 24:47… not merely to save you, but so that repentance and remission of sins would be preached to all nations.Rev 5:9. Jesus died to purchase people of all tribes and tongues.Jesus intercedes for us at the right hand of the father, giving us all that we need to to set free everyone on the planet enslaved to sin, satan and death.John 14:6 he is the way!
