  3. 3. “Government worldwide have taken responsibility to provide national leadership in the development and application of technology in their countries. This is being achieved by the establishment of an administrative structure within government, with specific responsibilities to develop a national vision for ICT to prepared an implementation plan with key strategies having specific goals to realize the vision, and an action plan for their achievement”
  4. 4. 7 Key Parameters of Government’s Technology Policy 1. Memastikan penyebaran dan penggunaan ICT negara dengan meluas, berkualiti , mempunyai dayasaing serta meransang produktiviti. 2. Membentuk satu pelan tindakan nasional bagi memastikan pendekatan pengurusan pembangunan ICT yang lebih sistematik. 3. Memperluaskan pendidikan dan latihan ICT.

Menggalakkan pembangunan industri ICT tempatan dari segi reka bentukk dan pengeluaran produk, sistem dan perkhidmatan yang inovatif. 6. Memajukan Malaysia sebagai satu hub ICT serantau dengan syarikat ICT antarabangsa. 7. Merancang untuk meningkatkan kesedaran mengenai ICT di kalangan penduduk.
