St Johns Cathedral <ul><li>officially called The Cathedral Church of St. John the Evangelist, located at 4 Garden Road, Central </li></ul><ul><li>It is the oldest surviving western ecclesiastical building in HK </li></ul><ul><li>It was completed in 1849 </li></ul><ul><li>It was built in early English and gothic style and is built in the shape of a cross </li></ul><ul><li>It use to be a club house for the Japanese in WW2 </li></ul>
  3. 3. <ul><li>It costed £8,736 to for St Johns to be built </li></ul><ul><li>It has Sunday schools for both children and adults </li></ul>

Po Lin Monastery <ul><li>Po Lin Monastery is located on Lantau Island on Hong Kong </li></ul><ul><li>The monastery was founded in 1906 by three monks and was finished in 1924 </li></ul><ul><li>The big Buddha is also a part of the monastery </li></ul><ul><li>The monastery is quite big it has lots different rooms, halls and they even have a pond and a garden in the monastery </li></ul>
  5. 5. <ul><li>Lot’s of tourists go to the Po Lin Monastery but it is a great place for people who want to worship the Buddha </li></ul>

Ten Thousand Buddha's Monastery <ul><li>This monastery is located at 220 Pai Tau Village, Shatin in Hong Kong </li></ul><ul><li>The monastery was completed in 1957 </li></ul><ul><li>T he main building of the monastery is the Ten Thousand Buddhas Temple </li></ul><ul><li>The monastery has totally 5 differ e nt temples </li></ul><ul><li>It actually took eight years to complete all buildings and another ten years to finish the all more than 12,000 Buddha's statues </li></ul>
