The conflict between nations is occa-
sional- But the conflict between classes is
constant and perpetual- It is this which is the
root of all sorrow and suffering in the world-I
left home on account of war- War has ended
but I have to find a solution for this problem
of social conflict-(B&HD 1-2-6)

Having refreshed himself food Gautam
sat thinking over his past eŪperiences-
He realised that all paths had failed- He
thought of siting under Banyan tree in
meditationin the hope of a new light- In
the first stage he called forth reason and
envestigation- Gautam concentrated
himself on the problem of finding an
answer of the question which had
troubled him- Lastly] he realised that
therewas suffering intheworldandhow
to remove this suffering and make man-
kind happy- He found out the causes of
sufferingandunhappiness andtheirrem-
edies how to remove them- These right
answer is called "Samma Bodhi"
