Wind energy The wind energy has become a strong industry ● In the year 2011, 100,000 people worked with manufacturers and suppliers of wind energy ● In the near future there will be more work places in the wind energy sector ● In this sector are many other professionals needed like office clerks, mechatronics and many more… ● Qualified employees are missing so the staff often consists of unqualified workers ●

Solar energy ● ● 2.3 millions of photovoltaic and solar thermal systems are installed 125,000 people work in companies of the solarindustry and handicraft business The focus of these companies is in Bayern, Baden-Württemberg and North Rhine-Westphalia ● ● ● 60 % of the employees are in the handicraft business Most of the employees are craftsmen in the field of Electrical Engineering and commercial clerks ● The number of graduates is low ● There is a high demand for engineers

  23. 23. Germany ● ● For the final energy consumption is the use of renewable energies of increasing importance. The market share has increased from 2.9% in 1997 to 10.1% in 2011. Renewable energy in form of electricity is used for generating heat and biofuels for road transport.
