In the beginning of 2018 we published our first issue
of Coopsviadrina - a platform coop magazine. Now,
1.5 years later, platform cooperativism is still a fairly
new movement. Yet we feel this important issue is
gaining momentum. There are more and more people
who realize the importance of rethinking how we
treat our environment, resources, health and
ultimately each other. We would like to explore this
topic once more with a focus on cooperatively owned,
democratically-governed businesses and
organizations as an alternative model to our current
economy.
The following pages are the result of the work of a
group of six students from different social studies BA
programs, myself and many expert partners who have
helped us along the way during our project-based
class at the European University Viadrina.
