The american revolution

 1. 1. the American revolution
Hannah Houze
2. 2. Chapter Three
There were many participants in the American Revolution
Spain France, the Native Americans, and the African slaves all participated in one way or another
Spain fought for the American Revolution cause, the Natives supported the British, France supported the Revolution, and the slaves fought for both sides, since they were both promising freedom and equality
3. 3. Chapter Four
There was great hostility between the Americans and the British
In the Battle of Bunker Hill, while the British one, it was at a greater casualty loss; 1,000 out of 6,000 rather than the Americans 500 out of a larger number
The prisoners captured by the British were treated to treason trials and finally execution
But, because the Americans also had their share of British prisoners, the Americans were never tried or executed
4. 4. Chapter Five
The American “rebels” had control over most of the territory by June 1775
They over through the loyalist governments and drove government officials from their homes
On January 5, 1776 New Hampshire ratified the first constitution, and then, six months later, the Declaration of Independence was signed
5. 5. Paragraph on Revolution
I don’t always like American history. I find parts of it to be excruciatingly dull. But I do love the American Revolution, so reading about it was fun and interesting for me. I learned about prisoners and captives on both sides of the war, and I learned who helped which side, whether it was the French and Spanish on the American side, or the Natives on the British side. It was interesting to learn all this!
