  7. 7. Step 1 : IDENTIFY the fears Identify your FEARS • When you think of career change, what words, thoughts, feelings come to mind first? Note which are positive and which are negative. Identify the EFFECT For the negative ones on your list, identify how you behave as a result…
  8. 8. Step 2 : MANAGE • Identify what is true Acknowledge the reality in your fears in order to successfully manage them. If you ignore what’s true, your affirmation or positive thinking won’t work. It’s like putting a band-aid on the issue.You must get to the core of the fear and fully understand it. • Develop a process for managing your fears Ignore them, push them aside, develop affirmations to replace the negative thinking.
  9. 9. Step 3 : Visualize Your Success Who do you need to be in order to successfully implement your transition? 1. What qualities do you need to have? Confidence, positive thinking, courage? Make a list. 2. What processes, people and systems need to be in place to ensure your success?
  10. 10. TAKE Finally, you must take action and implement these 3 steps:  Identify, Manage, &Visualize your success action
  11. 11. There is always risk involved in change. The key is to mitigate the risk. Remember…“The greatest RISK in life is not taking one.”
