RejuveNation Island was created in Second Life to provide a place where students could relax in an Australian bush landscape and foster their movement and communication skills. The effects of the environment on students’ attention was tested through a series of computer-based tests to discover to what extent students’ attention was restored in the environment after an hour-long lecture. These results were compared and contrasted to those of students who relaxed in a park-like setting after the lecture. This paper explores the differences between the results of these two cohorts.
