PDF and non-Microsoft Office files are OK  Even when user enters valid credentials and checks “remember my credentials” checkbox, the dialog box keeps reappearing PROBLEM

  6. sharepointmaven.com @gregoryzelfondsharepointmaven.com @gregoryzelfond A. In Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Internet Options. B. From the pop-up window, choose Security Tab. Once there, click on Trusted Sites, then Sites button. STEP 1
  7. sharepointmaven.com @gregoryzelfondsharepointmaven.com @gregoryzelfond A. In the window that comes up from previous Step, type in full web address of your SharePoint site (i.e. http://www.yoursite.com), click Add and hit Close STEP 2

Lastly, while still in Internet Options screen, hit Custom Level Button Security Settings – Trusted Sites Zone window will pop- up B. Scroll all the way down and click on Automatic logon with current user name and password radio button (2nd choice from the bottom). Click OK twice to close the remaining windows STEP 3
