From a hole in the ground to a big profit. Projects are about investing to get a return on the investment. Often when we talk about project management we talk about managing things that are inside the project such as people, schedules etc. That's not what really matters from a captial perspective. What really matters is if the project is going to be profitable or not. Projects are financed on the open capital market in competition with other investments.
