  2. 2. What is InterRail? <ul><li>IntarRail is a train ticket that gives you the possibility to travel throughout Europe by train for up to one month . </li></ul><ul><li>To have an InterRail pass you must be normally resident in one of the participating European countries . </li></ul>

  4. 4. History of InterRail InterRail was created in 1972, at the 50th anniversary of the International Railway Union. It is created as a rail pass for traveling in second class for one month in 21 countries in Europe.
  5. 5. <ul><li>InterRail is dedicated to young people up to 21 years of age. It allows unlimited travel abroad and 50% reduction is given on journeys with the issuing railway network In 1976 the age limit of the pass is extended from 21 to 23 years old and three years later, in 1979 travelers up to 26 years old are allowed to buy and use it. </li></ul>
  6. 6. <ul><li>After the fall of the iron curtain, the InterRail Community expands with new participating countries. Now allows thousands of young people to experience the Central and Eastern European countries and in 1994 are created the InterRail´s zones </li></ul>

The most important things about InterRail <ul><li>Other type of tycket </li></ul><ul><li>1st April 2007 came into force a new type of ticket on which disappear the zones .This ticket is called &quot;GLOBAL InterRail&quot; and there are several types depending on the day of use. </li></ul><ul><li>This ticket has different prices depending on the age of the passenger. </li></ul><ul><li>Not all countries participating in the InterRail have this ticket. </li></ul>

  9. 10. <ul><li>How to catch the first train ? </li></ul><ul><li>To use the InterRail can not departure from the country in which you are resident. To reach the border of the country for which your ticket is valid, InterRail offers a 50% discount on the price on all trains from the rest of Europe, including in your home country, from your city to the border more close to the passes included in your InterRail, and the same for the return. </li></ul>
  10. 11. <ul><li>Nowadays InterRail is very known throughout Europe and during all these years it has been used by millions of people to travel in Europe in a manner easy and safe. </li></ul><ul><li>The meaning of InterRail has gone from being that of a normal train ticket to be considered a style of travel. For this reason the InterRail is normally used by backpackers and young people who want a cheap way to travel. </li></ul>
