Clothes in India <ul><li>Traditionally women in India generally wear </li></ul><ul><li>a saree, which is like a </li></ul><ul><li>long scarf which can be </li></ul><ul><li>draped around the body </li></ul><ul><li>in many different ways. </li></ul><ul><li>Men either dress in </li></ul><ul><li>Western style or traditional. </li></ul>
  9. 9. Hinduism <ul><li>Hinduism is the main religion </li></ul><ul><li>in India. It is the third largest in the </li></ul><ul><li>world. Hindus believe in one </li></ul><ul><li>Unifying “God” but also in many </li></ul><ul><li>Other lesser gods. </li></ul>
  10. 10. Hindu vs. Muslim <ul><li>Hindus and Muslims have been fighting for many many years. They have many differences. Nowadays, they are still fighting. </li></ul>
  11. 11. New Delhi <ul><li>New Delhi is the capital of India. It is built right next to the ancient city Delhi. </li></ul>
  12. 12. Bollywood! <ul><li>Bollywood is the Indian film industry </li></ul><ul><li>It is “Bombay” and “Hollywood” put together. </li></ul><ul><li>Bollywood films always </li></ul><ul><li>include lots of singing </li></ul><ul><li>and dancing. </li></ul>
  13. 13. Trade with India <ul><li>India has always been an exotic place for Westerners to trade goods with, since ancient times. </li></ul><ul><li>Today india exports mainly oil, spices, tea and agricultural products. </li></ul>
  14. 14. Monsoons <ul><li>The monsoons are seasonal winds in India and Asia. The monsoons bring heavy rain and floods, </li></ul><ul><li>and yet the Indians </li></ul><ul><li>worship the coming </li></ul><ul><li>of them, because their </li></ul><ul><li>farms need them very </li></ul><ul><li>badly to survive. </li></ul>
