Gramalaya Photo Essay

  1. 1. A photo essay on Gramalaya's water and sanitation efforts for women and all people in the rural village of Pudukkulam, Tamil Nadu. Through a project partially-funded by Arghyam in Bangalore, India.
  2. 2. <ul><li>Gramalaya has worked on water and sanitation in rural and urban Tamil Nadu, India since 1987. </li></ul><ul><li>In a project called “Sustainable WASH Initiatives through PRIs and Women Federations,” Gramalaya worked in 158 villages in 28 panchayats in Tamil Nadu. </li></ul><ul><li>Pudukullam was one rural village that received water and sanitation interventions. </li></ul><ul><li>This photo essay and associated article show how water and sanitation interventions play a part in the empowerment of women in the village of Pudukkulam. </li></ul>
