Inner circle <ul><li>Your inner circle will write your future in the present </li></ul><ul><li>A good team knows how lead in your absence just as you would lead if you were present </li></ul><ul><li>The quality of those closest to you will determine the height of your flight </li></ul><ul><li>Regardless of who you say your inner circle is, who you listen to is your inner circle </li></ul><ul><li>With the passage of time, you and your inner circle become virtually indistinguishable because you function as one </li></ul>

Empowerment <ul><li>Empowering bonds others to you for the journey </li></ul><ul><li>Empowering others is a risk </li></ul><ul><li>Empowering others is worth the risk </li></ul><ul><li>Empowering another is not an event, it is an ongoing , developing relationship </li></ul><ul><li>Empowerment identifies you as a follower inextricably connected with the leader and his cause </li></ul><ul><li>Empowerment is learned art, and its success improves with time and experience </li></ul>

Buy in <ul><li>The credibility of the leader enhances the credibility of the Vision </li></ul><ul><li>Loss of credibility of the leader threatens the credibility of the Vision </li></ul><ul><li>People will embrace the leaders Vision only when they see the leaders commitment to it </li></ul><ul><li>If you want your followers to sacrifice , then you must sacrifice first: Leaders go first </li></ul><ul><li>Buy-in is enhanced when the leader represents the best of values in the worst of times </li></ul><ul><li>The world will follow the one who finds a way to overcome the odds </li></ul>

Priorities <ul><li>Leaders understand that activity is not necessarily accomplishment </li></ul><ul><li>Prioritised living means seeing the goal and then adjusting everything accordingly </li></ul><ul><li>Learn where others have shipwrecked their lives, then stay away from those rocks </li></ul><ul><li>Before you try to lead others, lead yourself </li></ul><ul><li>Self discipline, cultivation of the soul reveals the inner self </li></ul>

Sacrifice <ul><li>A leader must give up to go up </li></ul><ul><li>When the leader sacrifices, so do the followers </li></ul><ul><li>The present generation always stands on the sacrifices of those who have gone before it </li></ul><ul><li>Accept the fact that life is not fair </li></ul><ul><li>Always avoid dishonest or compromised gain </li></ul><ul><li>If you loose friends by telling and living the truth, they were not friends you should keep anyway </li></ul><ul><li>Most of life’s real values are learned in the crucible of pain </li></ul><ul><li>Leaders give up the right to “Blame –shift&quot; when defeated while standing for genuine truth, know that it is more of a delay than defeat – because truth always, eventually emerges </li></ul><ul><li>Avoid shortcuts if they cost you your integrity </li></ul><ul><li>Sacrifice reveals quality in character </li></ul>
  14. 14. Timing <ul><li>When you succeed, don’t believe you own press releases – it will destroy you </li></ul>

LEGACY <ul><li>How you live, talk, think, and act has an impact on future generations long after you are gone </li></ul><ul><li>Your legacy will always be the replica of who you are </li></ul><ul><li>He who cannot control his home, cannot control the world </li></ul><ul><li>Everyone leaves a legacy, either a good one or a bad, either way you will have a legacy </li></ul><ul><li>If you want something to last, build it on a good foundation </li></ul><ul><li>If your private life does not measure up to your public Image, don’t lower your public image to the level of your private life, raise your private life up to the level of your public image </li></ul><ul><li>If you want to leave a legacy, live in humility and purity, and pray for strength and wisdom </li></ul><ul><li>Give yourself away </li></ul>
